Carl Marion Pace

Carl Marion Pace, a loving husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa passed away on January 9, 2014 at the age of 90. Carl was born on November 11, 1923 in Delta, Utah to Marion J. Pace and Martha Ellen Bishop. He graduated Delta High School, then attended the Branch Agricultural College (now SUU) in Cedar City, and Utah State Universiy. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Carl met the love of his life, Velda Boothe Pace, and they married March 4, 1950 in Delta. They were sealed in the Manti LDS Temple on February 2, 1957 and enjoyed their life together for close to 64 years in Delta, Utah. Carl was a devoted farmer and rancher; and enjoyed hunting, riding horses, four wheeling and traveling the world.

Carl was most happy when all of his family was together. Carl is survived by his wife: Velda Boothe Pace; six children: Steven Carl Pace (Deb), Jay Evan Pace, Karen Bennett (Ted), Colleen Traue (Bill), Joan Dutson (Steve), Connie Cruz (Felix); and 24 grandchildren and 58 great grandchildren.

Friends and family may pay their respects at a viewing on Saturday, January 18, 9:30-10:40 am; with funeral services at 11:00 am at the Delta LDS Stake Center, 125 S. White Sage Avenue, Delta. Burial will be in the Delta City Cemetery.
