Donald Earl Zeller

On a beautiful Good Friday morning, Donald Earl Zeller, age 83, passed from this life to the next into the loving arms of his dear wife Roma. Don was born January 1, 1931 to William Joseph Zeller and Ludean Beal Zeller in Lovell, Wyoming, the 3rd of 4 sons. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict first on a submarine tender, the USS Sperry, and then on the USS Sphinx, (SSR 489) a radar picket boat (submarine). He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's degree in Economics in 1960. He married the love of his life, Roma Hepworth, on July 5, 1962 in the Manti Temple. She passed away on November 24, 2008. Their union was blessed with the births of 3 sons. He worked at the Tooele Army Depot and after he retired, he enjoyed working in real estate. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many callings. Home teaching was his favorite in which he served diligently and with love. Don and Roma served a mission at the LDS Employment Center in Tooele for 18 months. He loved to attend the temple as often as he could.

He is survived by his sons: William (Anne), Christopher (Kim) of Tooele; and Daniel (Michele) of Canterbury, CT; brother: Eldon (Nina) of Orem; and nine cherished grandchildren:  Krysta, Aimee, Shannon, Erica, Joseph, Chloe, Jared, Malaya, and Jonathan. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and his dear friends including his temple buddies. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two brothers and their wives: Clarence (Bessie) and Ervan (Shirley). The family would like to thank Darin Smith, PA-C, and staff, for providing many years of care and friendship. Don truly thought a lot of them.

Funeral will be Friday, April 25, at 11am at the Erda Chapel, 323 E Erda Way, Erda, UT (Hwy 36 and Erda Way). Viewings: Thursday evening, 7-8 pm, at the Erda Chapel; and Friday prior to services, 9:30-10:40 am. Interment at the Tooele City Cemetery.
