DonaldKozina2.webDonald D Kozina, age 88, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014. He was born on July 11, 1926, to John Kozina and Grace Collier Kozina in Orange County, California.  Don moved to Utah as a young boy in the late 1920's where he grew up working with his father on their farm north of Sutherland and learning how to blacksmith.  On April 2, 1950, he was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and for the rest of his life truly enjoyed sharing his hope and faith with his neighbors.  On May 18, 1950, he married Enid Wheeler.  His talent for welding led him to employment at Allen Steel Company in Salt Lake during the 1950's then back to Delta, becoming owner / operator of Delta Welders, finally retiring in 1997.  Don was highly respected in the community as a minister and a hardworking blacksmith / welder.  He was preceded in death by his wife Enid in 1996.  In 1997 he married Doris Curtiss.  Don and Doris moved to Salt Lake in 2014 to be closer to their children. Don died “tired and happy” in Salt Lake from complications of old age.

He is survived by his wife: Doris; children: Roselin (Randy) Edwards, David (Olga) Kozina, Roy Kozina, Ruth (Pablo) Díaz; stepchildren: Richard (Sheila) Curtiss, Donny (Colleen) Curtiss; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
