Kathryn "Tobe" Pace Humphries

Kathryn “Tobe” Lou Pace Humphries, a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend, passed away at the age of 85, on January 29, 2015, in Delta, Utah. She was surrounded by her family. Tobe was born September 2, 1929 to Carlos Middleton “Pat” and Lizzie Edeveen Pace.

She grew up in Delta and later attended Delta High. After graduating, she joined the US Air Force, and served as a librarian. After returning to Delta, Tobe was set up on a blind date with Max J Humpries. They were married on October 5, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple.

Tobe was loved by everyone. In her free-time, she loved spending time with family, doing puzzles, watching grandkid’s ball games, going to Lake Powell with friends, and fishing with her husband. Later, she was also able to spend time with her 8 great grandkids.

She lived in Delta her whole life, and enjoyed many friendships. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 56 and has been an active member ever since. She was a member of the Delta 4th Ward.

Tobe is survived by her brother: Nick Pace (Sheryl); her two daughters: Deb Bryant (Joe), and Liz Webb (Russell); her 5 grandkids: Brandon, Cory, Jenny, Dallan, and Mike; and her 8 great-grandkids. The family thanks Mary Herbert, Dr. Steven Shamo and the staff of Diamond D for all of their help, love and support.

Funeral services will be held at the Delta 4rd Ward LDS Church, on Monday, February 2, at 11:00 AM.  Viewing will be held prior to the funeral, 9:30-10:40 AM. Interment will be at the Delta City Cemetery.
