Doyle Andrew Berry, age 97, passed away quietly from old age surrounded by his family on August 27, 2015 in Delta, Utah. Doyle was born April 9, 1918 in Kanarraville, Utah; the third of four children born to William Andrew and Mary Ethel Williams Berry. When Doyle was 4, his father was killed in the Castlegate Mine Explosion in Price. His mother moved the family, he and his 3 sisters, to Delta. When Doyle was 15, his mother also passed away requiring him to work and support himself at a young age.

Doyle married Elmeda “Billie” Reid on June 3, 1942. He bought a ranch in Sugarville and they began their life together; and there raised their two children, Andrea and Theo. Doyle loved his horses and cattle. He was able to do what he loved all of his life, working his land and livestock until his body could do it no more. His happiest times were spent outdoors.

Doyle is survived by his wife: Billie, Delta; daughter: Andrea Berry Bulloch (Pete); son: Theo Berry (Julon), both of Sugarville; grandchildren: Adam Seltzer, Justin Seltzer (Lisa), Tracie Berry Lyman (Chance); great-grandchildren: Cole Seltzer, Lexie Lyman, Hazen Lyman. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Myrle, Virginia and Hazel; grandson: Eddie Berry.

He is free. Look across a meadow, there he will be on his horse, with a grin and a twinkle in his eye.

A Private Family Service will be held later, but feel free to stop by our homes.
