Susan Hales Wendelboth

Susan Elizabeth Hales Wendelboth, age 72, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in Delta, Utah. She was born on December 29, 1942 in Delta, to Samuel Henry and Annie Emily Galloway Hales. Susan grew up in Sutherland and later moved to Salt Lake City to attend LDS Business College. She met Walter Wendelboth at a church sponsored dance. They were married November 27, 1963 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they made their home in Salt Lake City. She was a partner to Walter not only in life but with the family business ventures. Together they raised two children. Upon retirement, they moved back to Susan’s childhood home in Delta Utah.

Susan was a very faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, making it a goal to attend the temple at least once a week. It was on a drive to attend the temple when they were involved in a car accident which contributed to Walter’s sudden death, and ten days later Susan followed him in the next chapter of life.

Susan is survived by her children: Daniel (Kim) Wendelboth and Karen (Bill) Lish both of Salt Lake City; six grandchildren: Scott, Ian, Sara, Jesse, Jason, Suzy, and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 1:00 pm, at the Sutherland LDS Chapel. A Viewing will be held, from 11:30 to 12:40, prior to the service. Burial will be in the Sutherland Cemetery.
