Duane Brent Jacobs "Jake"

Duane Brent Jacobs, age 76, lived life and hated to leave us on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Delta, Utah. He was born August 11, 1939 to O’Dell and Helen Roberts Jacobs in Lehi, Utah. Married Irene Gull; they later divorced. Married Linda J. Antell and has resided in Hinckley, Utah since his retirement in March 2001. He loved the area, and enjoyed the peace and tranquility of raising animals and riding on his tractor.

Brent graduated from Lehi High School. He moved to California where he worked for Grinnell Co. Later returned to Utah, employed as an industrial salesman at Mountain States Supply from 1971 until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife: Linda; son: Justin (Anika) Jacobs; daughters: Wendy (Dan) Raines; El Donna (James) Jacobs; Cindy (Keith) Larsen; Christine (John) McGilvary; Shaelyn McEwan; step-son: Kelly R. (Brenda) Thompson; step-daughters: Corry L. (Kurt) Sparenberg; Tracy J (Kent) Walker; brothers: Brian (Pat); Kim (Jacquie); Michael and Creig; sisters: Shauna Wagner and Rosemary. Preceded in death by brother: Robert Jacobs (Mary).

Special thanks to Dr. Shamo and Dr. Smith, and Brent's many neighbors for their kindness and helping hands. A sincere thank you to Ray Searle for his selfless, compassionate and endless caring.

All who knew “Jake” loved him. He was best friends with his wife, Linda. His many friends will sorely miss this fun loving man, his stories of Hooter Jones and his claim of being “Sheriff of Tupelo, Mississippi”!

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13, at 2:00 p.m., at the Nickle Mortuary Chapel, 190 S. Center, Delta. A viewing will be held Saturday, 12:30-1:40 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will be in the Hinckley Cemetery. The family requests no flowers.
