Diana Dee Hansen

Diana Dee Hansen, age 56, passed away on “Thanksgiving”, Thursday, November 23, 2017 in Delta, Utah. She was born on “Halloween”, October 31, 1961 in Payson, Utah the second of the 5 children of Kenneth Dee and Cleo Joyce Erickson Hansen. Diana carried the challenge of a mental handicap, but she never left it dampen her effusive  spirit, her glowing smile, and loving nature. She grew up in Pleasant Grove and Orem, Utah, and graduated from Orem High School. She then attended the Alpine Transition and Educaton Center where she learned many life skills and was able to maintain many jobs. She worked for several restaurants and many years in the laundry. Whatever the assignment, she put her whole heart into everything she did. In 2008, she moved to Delta, Utah. She has been involved with the Community Careers Program and has worked with many wonderful people and made many friends.

Diana was a member of the LDS Church. Through the years the members have been a great support and she has loved the many friends she has made there. Her family has always been her number one priority and she has relied on her siblings and nieces and nephews as they have relied on her.

Diana had a strong and determined spirit. In spite of her personal challenges, she was able to beat a pain killer addiction and be a strength for others in her life. Diana will be remembered for her pure, sweet and loving spirit. People were her hobby. She loved to be around people and she wanted to know everyone. Her influence has had a huge impact on the lives of others.

Diana is survived by her siblings: Jeff Hansen, Laura Smith, Todd Hansen, and Russ Hansen; many nieces and nephews (particularly- Amber, Colby, Lacey, and Cilicia Smith who helped take care of her). She was preceded in death by her parents; and nephew: Austin Smith.

Memorial Services (casual dress) will be held on Wednesday, November 29, at 2:30 pm, at the Delta 1st Ward Church, 222 West 200 North. A Party for Diana's Family & Friends - Perfectly Pink, Simple & Sweet! Just like she is!
