Elaine Huntington Keel, age 81, passed away in Delta, Utah on February 8, 2018. She was born January 20, 1937 in Castle Dale, Utah, the oldest of five children of Milton J and Norma Arlean Elder Huntington. She graduated from South Emery High School, and then attended Excelsis Beauty School. The brother of a hairdresser she was working with stopped in for a haircut, but left with his attention captured. She married William G Keel on May 23, 1958 in the Manti LDS Temple. They made their home in Pleasant Grove, Utah, where they raised their four kids. She ran her own beauty shop for many years. William ran a small farm on the side, where Elaine could take care of her horses. She founded the Pleasant Grove Spurs Youth 4-H Riding Club, the first official riding club in Utah County. Elaine was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Primary and Cub Scouts. William passed away on February 20, 1993. In 1997, she moved to Delta, Utah. She became a part of that community, serving in the leadership of the local Senior Citizens Group.

Elaine loved her family. She loved to make dolls, knitting all their clothes, and giving them to her grandchildren. She loved to read novels especially romance, and her animals always had a special place in her heart, taking care of her horses, dogs and cats.

Elaine is survived by her son: William Preston (Julie) Keel of Delta, Utah; daughter: Joyce Chadwick of American Fork; son-in-law: George Ellis; brothers: Blaine (Annette) Huntington of Herriman, Utah; Dennis (Beverly) Huntington of Elk Grove, California; 13 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: William; daughters: LaRee Ellis and Susan Dehl; and granddaughter: Amy Ellis Lee.
