She born on September 20, 1942 in Oak City, Utah the seventh of nine children born to LeRoy and Martha Lovell Anderson. She grew up on the family farm in Oak City, and attended Oak City Elementary School. She graduated from Delta High School. Then attended LDS Business College earning an Associates Degree.

She first moved to California, and used her skills working for a bank. However, after a few years, she missed life in Utah and moved back home. She was eventually employed by the Utah Department of Criminal Justice in Ogden, in the Records Dept. Arlene loved her country, and during that time she also enlisted in and served in the U.S. Army Reserve. In the early 1990's she left Utah again when  she received a new job working with the Washington State Dept of Criminal Justice. When she retired in 2009, she moved back to her childhood roots in Oak City to be close to her family and grand-nieces and nephews.

Arlene had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and enjoyed attending the Temple whenever she could. Staying close to her family was very important to her, and nothing gave her more joy than participating in the lives of her siblings, nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.

She will always be remembers for her caring spirit and her collections of cookbooks and ladybug themed items.  She will be greatly missed. We all know that she is so happy in Heaven with her Mother, Father and her Savior, who were with her all along the way.

Arlene is survived by her sisters: Helen Wright and Rosalie (Boyd) Call; many nieces and nephews; and being the Adopted Grandmother (Great-Aunt) of Lyndsey, Shayley, Saydie, Uriah, McCrae, Ryker, Kylie, Taylor, Robert, Drake, MaKall, Kelly, Kennedy, Brooklyn and Brailey who brightened her days and made her feel loved.
