Cheryl Alana Ward Jones

Cheryl  Alana Ward Jones, age 60, beloved wife, mother, sister, friend, grandma, and aunt left this world  peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2020 in Delta, Utah to start her new journey. She was born in Pasadena, California on June 3, 1959 to Allen Vern and Jean Bills Ward. She came into this world as her daddy’s sweetheart, in a big family with older brothers, Rob, Tom, and Jeff; and after Cheryl, followed her little sister, Linda; and two little brothers, David and Doug.

Cheryl moved to Utah when she was just sixteen years old. She loved the beach and missed California deeply. Although she strayed from her path, Cheryl was raised Mormon and held onto her deep-rooted beliefs until the end.

She married the love of her life, Kevin Jones, on April 1, 2005 and spent the remaining years of her life living in their home with their beloved dogs, happier than we had ever seen her. She is very deeply loved by her grandchildren, who called her mee-maw and would count down the days until they could see her again and raise some good-natured chaos.

She will be greatly missed by those who loved her. She touched many lives in her own unique way.

Her family would love to give a special thanks to the IHC Home Hospice staff who worked closely to provide Cheryl comfort in the last weeks of her life. They not only gave comfort to my mother but to her husband and family members who stayed by her side until the end.

She is survived by husband: Kevin Hall Jones;  children: Angie Loveless; Jake (Tracy) Loveless; Tori (Cody) Loveless; Robin (Russell) Long; Chad (Val) Snow; siblings: Rob C Ward; Jeff (Angela) Ward; Linda (Gavin) Nelson; Doug (Debbie) Ward; David Ward; and 9 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents: Vern and Jean Ward; older brother: Tom Ward; and a niece: Alexis Nelson.

A Celebration of her Life will be held after the period of concern around the COVID-19 virus.
