Brandon Lee LaRue

BrandonLaRue2.webBrandon Lee LaRue, age 36, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 surrounded by his family in Delta, Utah. Brandon was born June 29, 1984 in Delta, Utah, the eldest of the 2 children of Roger Everette and Kathy Dawn Poulsen LaRue. He attended Delta community school s and Delta High School where he participated in football. He later began working in construction, where his job took him to sites all over Utah. In 2015 he got a job as a chef in the Garden of Eat’n  restaurant in Fillmore. Because of his skill and dedication he eventually was given the job of head chef.

In this era of technology assisted courtship, an App put him in contact with a beautiful girl in Louisiana. Their romance blossomed and Theresa Jean Merryweather moved to Utah in January 2015 and they began their lives together. The most important thing in Brandon’s life was his family and friends. His greatest joys were spending time outdoors camping and fishing with friends and his wife and 2 sons. His mother and sister, Alisha, were a big part of his life and he was very dedicated in supporting his family, and was grateful of the support he has received during his battle with cancer. He was so happy to recently marry his sweetheart, Theresa, on August 1, 2020 in Delta.

Brandon will always be remembered for his strength. He has spent the last few years in a courageous battle with stomach cancer. He always stayed positive and never complained. He had an excellent sense of humor, was a joker and had a radiant smile. He loved life and had many joyous experiences. He was absolutely generous, would give the shirt of his back to help out his family or friends. He was a wonderful father, son, husband and brother. We will miss him every day.

Brandon is survived by his wife: Theresa; sons: Braedon (11) and Remington (4); father: Roger: mother: Kathy; sisters: Alisha and Cara LaRue. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Don and Clara Poulsen; uncles: Ronald and Richard Poulsen.

A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, September 26, at 11:00 am, at the Nickle Mortuary Chapel, 190 S Center St. Masks and social distancing are encouraged.
