Claire Marie Spencer Alldredge

Claire Marie Spencer Alldredge passed away peacefully in her home in Salem, Utah on August 2, 2021 surrounded by her family, after a year long battle with breast cancer. Claire was born in Ely, Nevada on April 27, 1947 to Douglas Jay Spencer and Dorthella Glover Spencer. She was the oldest of 5 children. She was an accomplished pianist and loved dancing, sewing, gardening, canning, and tatting. She loved playing church softball and was the Queen of Jacks.

She grew up in Hinckley, Utah and graduated from Delta High School in 1965. She was Miss Hinckley, Yearbook Queen, and performed with the Tridells in High School. She played the piano for the high school boys choir and for some of the school musicals.

She married her sweetheart, Dwight Craig Alldredge, in the Manti Utah Temple on September 29, 1966. They raised their 5 children in West Valley City, Utah.

She was an active, faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in many positions in the church including being a Relief Society President twice. She was very compassionate, loving, kind, and serving. She was the epitome of Christ-like love. All who knew her, loved her.

Claire is survived by her children: Sherrie (Billy) Carpenter of Springtown, TX; Alicia (Gordon) Mills of West Jordan, UT; Valerie (Bob) Nankervis of Keller, TX; Jay (Tiffany) Alldredge of Pleasant Grove, UT; daughter-in-law: Linda Alldredge of Payson, UT; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Shirley Reynolds of Hinckley, UT; Stan (Nanci) Spencer of Chester, UT; Brent (Yvonne) Spencer of Hinckley, UT; Ron Spencer of Payson, UT. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son: Kirt Alldredge.
