Alice S. Larsen, age 92, passed away peacefully at home in Delta on March 30, 2013. She was born in Sunflower, Utah on March 20, 1921, to George Patrick and Myrtle Belle Miksel Spor. The Great Depression and World War II made a big impression on her as she grew up and started her family.
Alice went to Cosmetology School and made a living as a Cosmetology Instructor for 25 years. Later in life, she substituted in the Roosevelt Tech and also at Delta Tech. She was a caregiver for people in the Phoenix area and here in Delta for five years. She also worked at the Delta South Elementary as a reading coach.
Alice had three daughters: Yvone (Harry) Willoughby; Kathleen (Pat) Johnson; and Sharlene (Steve) Green; and a son: Kim Jon Strader, who is deceased, her daughter-in-law, Ginny Strader Graf, was still in her life. Her greatest blessings are her large posterity: 17 grandchildren (one deceased); 61 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, at 11 am, at the Delta City Cemetery.
