Kevin Hall Jones

Kevin Hall Jones passed away on February 12, 2022 surrounded by his sons, brother and sister, in Provo, Utah from complications of COVID. Kevin was born April 15, 1958 in Payson, Utah to Sherman L. and Merle Henderson Jones. He spent his childhood in Santaquin, Utah with his four brothers and only sister. He was active in the LDS Church and became an eagle scout, which his mother was very proud of. He also enjoyed a lot of family trips fishing and camping. From an early age, he worked with his father and brothers installing ditches throughout Utah. A job he did for about 9 years. Kevin graduated from Payson High School in 1976. Then he moved to Delta and met and married Sherri Nielson on October 5, 1979. Together they had four sons: Clinton, Kyle, Dallan and Andrew. Kevin and Sherri later divorced. Kevin later met and married Cheryl Alana Ward on April 1, 2005. She became the best friend Kevin ever had. Cheryl passed away March 21, 2020.

Kevin’s favorite hobbies were dirt bike desert racing, demolition derbies and anything to do with firearms. Kevin won over 125 trophies being crazy. He was famous for his dirt bike stunts and love for speed. He was also known to explore the desert all his life. He enjoyed teaching his sons to fish in his own unique way.

Kevin went to work for Graymont in 1988, and worked there until he passed away. As a heavy equipment operator, he was capable of fixing anything and knew how to operate all the machinery. He worked there for 34 years and it became his second home. He loved his job and all the guys that who worked beside him.

Kevin is survived by his three sons: Kyle (Kelsey) Jones, Dallan (Layna) Jones, Andrew  (Courtney) Jones; grandchildren: Paizlee, Dawson, Maddox, Keaton, Colton, Destiny, Bethany, Brady, Lyla, and Eva. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Cheryl; and oldest son: Clinton Hall Jones.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, at 11am, at the Delta 4th Ward LDS Chapel, 197 S 300 W, Delta.
