Claudia Jean Coles Terrell Johnson

Claudia Jean Coles Terrell Johnson, age 88, passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 14, 2022 in Provo, Utah. She was born on November 1, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the youngest of three daughters born to LeRoy and Lucy Lamb Robinson Coles. Claudia lost her mother while she was still a toddler, and was raised by her aunts. She grew up in the Salt Lake Valley and then moved to Fillmore, Utah as a teenager, graduating from Millard High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Max Walters Terrell, on June 25, 1952. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple on August 5, 1989. Together they raised their 7 beloved children.

They first made their home in Flowell, but soon moved their family to Salt Lake City. After a few years, in 1963, they moved back to Delta. Claudia found work at the Delta Arctic Circle, the Rancher Café and also as a disk jockey at KNAK radio. She also never failed to do her part in the family business, Terrell Meats. In the late 70's, she got a job with First Security Bank. She really enjoyed working with the public and was grateful for the friendship of her coworkers. The bank was a constant part of her life until she retired in 2000.

Max passed away on October 30, 2007. Claudia later married Don Johnson on January 2, 2012 in Delta. They spent 10 special years together before his recent passing on September 1, 2021.

Claudia enjoyed getting outdoors, riding 4-wheelers, boating and water skiing at Lake Powell. She had many wonderful experiences with her group of great local friends, camping and traveling. She enjoyed making many beautiful quilts. At their wedding, each grandchild was presented with a special quilt Claudia had lovingly stitched for them. We will always remember Claudia for her generous spirit and her warm and beautiful smile.

Claudia is survived by her children: Mitch (Sherri) Terrell, Connie (Gayle) Jensen, Lora (Dale) Barnes, Lynda (Todd) Niemann, Audrey (Derrick) Fowler, 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Max and Don; son: Kresson Terrell; daughter: Deanna Hardy; grandson: Noah Crocker; sisters: Elaine and Nolene.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 17, at 11:00am, at the Nickle Mortuary Chapel, 190 S Center St, Delta. A Viewing will be held, 9:30-10:40am, prior to service. Friends unable to attend are invited to view the recorded video of the Service. Burial will follow at 2:00pm in the Fillmore City Cemetery
