Casey Clyde Yates

Casey Clyde Yates, age 39, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013 at his home in Hinckley, Utah. He was born February 4, 1974 in Nephi, Utah to Clyde Eugene and Donetta Lee Hazel Yates.

He graduated from Delta High School in 1993. Growing up in Delta, he loved hunting, fishing and camping. He worked at the Delta Livestock Auction during his junior and senior years. After graduating, he worked for Greenlee Drilling based out at Brush Resources for many years. He then worked for Wolfe Drilling for 11 years, as a driller. Also during that time, he worked in Ely at Robison Mining. Presently, he was working at CS Mining in Milford as a driller.

On his days off, he took his family camping, four-wheeling, fishing and many other out door activities.

Casey leaves behind, and is survived by his loving wife: Bonnie Gardner; and his two precious kids: Jessica and Saxton Yates; his parents: Clyde and Donetta Yates; sisters: Dawna (Robert) Sperry,  Spring Creek, Nevada; Natalee (Ryan) Tippetts, Ogden; brother: Matt (Teri) Yates, Delta. Also leave behind mother and father-in-law: John and Jody Gardner, St. George; sisters-in-law: Joy (Ruben) Partridge, Hinckley; Tara (Kevin) Cox, Nephi; Barbara Kooken, Delta; brothers-in-law: John and Nathaniel Gardner, St. George; and many aunt and uncles, nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1, at 11:00 AM, at the Nickle Mortuary. Viewing will be held at the Nickle Mortuary Tuesday evening, 7:00-8:00 PM; and Wednesday morning, 9:30-10:45 AM, prior to the service. Burial will be in the Delta City Cemetery.

The family encourages donations to an account set up at any Wells Fargo Bank for Casey Yates to assist with expenses.
