Burial in the Delta City Cemetery

Beulah Mae Lake Heath

BeulahHeath2.webBeulah Mae Lake Heath, age 95, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at her home in Delta, Utah surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 15, 1927 in Provo, Utah to James Myron and Eva Lenore Woolston Lake. When she was young, her family moved to Waterbury, Connecticut, where she grew up. During her teenage years, they moved to Redondo Beach, California. There she met the love of her life, James “Jim” Ferron Heath; and they married on August 22, 1946 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

They made their home in Redondo Beach and begin building their family, raising their six children. She left high school early in her youth, so when her kids entered high school she determined she would earn her diploma before them, a goal she faithfully accomplished. In the early 1970s, she brought her family to Delta, Utah for her husbands work. She really felt at home in Delta and made many friends in the community. After a couple of years, they moved back to Redondo Beach, where she got a job as manager of a drapery shop.

Beulah and Jim retired in 1995. They decided they wanted to see the country. They hopped in their 5th-wheel trailer and set about to see all the beautiful sights. During this period, after arriving at a camp area, they would volunteer to serve as ‘camp hosts’ and live in an area for awhile serving the visitors that passed through. However, after a few years, they longed to return to Delta community. They were very happy together during their years here. Jim passed away on August 5, 2012.

Beulah was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities, including Primary President. She also had the pleasure of singing in the choir at the dedication of the Los Angeles Temple. She also enjoyed crocheting, creating many quilts and clothes over the years.

Beulah is survived by her children: James (Barbara) Heath, Jr; Diana King; Deborah (Bob) Wilkinson; John (Marilou) Heath; Donna Wolven; 24 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; daughter: Dorothy Zitzelsberger; and 5 grandchilden.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, February 25, at 11:00am, at the Delta City Cemetery. A Viewing will be held at Nickle Mortuary, 9:30-10:40, prior to the service. Online condolences may be left at www.nicklemortuary.com
