Burial in the Delta City Cemetery

Kristina Maxine Owens Taylor Winfield

Kristina Maxine Owens Winfield, age 64, passed away on June 18, 2013 in Delta, Utah.  She was born January 1, 1949 and officially rang in the new year. She was the first daughter born to Bernard E and Bonnie Marie Rose Owens.  Kristina "Tina" was blessed with an older brother and seven years later - a younger sister.  These children knew the meaning of the word “tease”, and it was always going on in the Owens household.

Tina was also blessed  with the gift of music. Singing, dancing and playing the piano came as easy to her as laughter.  Those who knew her enjoyed the gift almost as much as she did. At any and all of the family gatherings it was the highlight. She enjoyed her childhood and attended school in Delta. In 1965, she met Raymond Taylor and they were soon married. Five years later, the couple welcomed a beautiful son, Raymond Scott; and happily in 1979, another son, Matthew. Motherhood was the joy of Tina’s life. However, Tina and Raymond went there separate ways.

KristinaWinfield2.webTina was a empathetic soul and her world and heart was filled with nothing but love for all life.  She was the girl who brought home the stray. Her nieces were truly the lucky girls as Tina was “The Babysitter!”  Never –ever, EVER a dull moment. If their mother only knew. But then Tina was their second Mom, and thank God for that.

Tina was the exception to every rule. Thank you God  for the wonderful family shaped her life and made this so. She made the best of a bad situation in her young life when at, 38, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.  It was during this time that she met her friend, soul mate and eventually her husband, Carl A. Winfield. Tina spent the remainder of her life being the joy of Carl’s life and loving every minute of it.  A more caring couple does not exist..

Kristina is survived by her husband: Carl; sons: Scott (Lisa) Taylor; Matthew Taylor; brother: Bennett Owens; sister: Paula Dippold; mother: Bonnie Owens; grandchildren: Raquel, Allysa, and Raven.  She is preceded in death by her father: Bernard Owens.
