Jill Sartori Hintze

Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother

Jill Sartori Hintze, age 57, passed from this life in the twinkling of an eye on June 27, 2013, as the result of single-car accident. Jill was born October 6, 1955, in Salt Lake City, to Ralph and Dolores Sartori. She graduated from Cottonwood High School where she participated in Drill Team and on the Seminary Council. While in high school, she fell in love with her lifelong sweetheart, Gerald “Jerry” Hintze and after, sort-of, waiting for him while he served an LDS mission, they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on April 10, 1975. They were blessed with five wonderful and loving sons, Brad (April), Andrew (Myrna), Stephen (Lydia), Eric (Tosha) and Spencer (Kirsty). They currently have 15 grandchildren.

Jill’s priorities were focused on being a wife, mother and grandmother. To her, there is no greater calling in life. She loved being the mother of five sons where everyday was scout camp and she was the leader of the troop. She taught them how to dissect a frog, catch bugs and water fight. She especially loved practical jokes on her family, always looking to catch a boy under the kitchen window so she could spray him with the sink hose. She was never too busy for a ride with her husband or to color with her grandchildren. She had a talent for arranging flowers and blessed many with her beautiful displays.

Preceded in death by her parents.  Survived by her brother and sisters: Ralph  and Julie Sartori; Lorrie and Blair Ward; Carol and Don Temple; Margie and Dale Barker; Julie Sartori and Randy Nickle.   In-laws: Ted and Nancy Hintze; Norm and Pauline Butterfield; Craig and Louise Elison; Joel and Nancy Hintze; Connie and Kevin Reece.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, at 11:00 AM at the Oak City LDS Church, 35 E. Center. Friends may call at the Oak City Church on Tuesday evening, 7-9 PM; and again Wednesday, 9:30-10:40 AM, before the service. Burial will be in the Oak City Cemetery.
