Mark Charles Mitchell

MarkMitchell2.webMark Charles Mitchell born April 10, 1966, the son of Roxanna Goulter Mitchell and Vernon Keith Mitchell passed away at his home that he shared with his mother in Fillmore, Utah on September 14, 2013, at age 47. He suffered from anoxic brain damage since September 28, 2012. He was our walking miracle as he survived death three times in one year. He had to start life over again by learning simple things such as swallowing, drinking, dressing himself etc. Due to the love and care of his mother, family, friends and doctors, he overcame many obstacles. He had a strong will and determination to live, which he accomplished. Mark was a well trained heavy equipment operator, loved car races, enjoyed fishing, camping and the great outdoors, and was a diehard Oakland Raiders fan. He also enjoyed time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father: Vernon Mitchell; niece: Brandy Bruce; and his grandparents. He is survived by his mother: Roxanna Mitchell of Fillmore; brothers: Roy (Amy) Mitchell and Calvin (Lorna) Mitchell, both in West Valley City; sisters: Tawnya Young and Jerri Mitchell, both in Fillmore; Janet Mitchell in Saint George; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Fillmore Stake center. Friends may call Friday evening between 7-9 pm at the Fillmore Stake center and Saturday morning between 9:30-10:45am.
