Darren Young succumbed to Influenza A and double pneumonia in Provo, Utah on January 1, 2015 at the age of 52. Darren was blessed by being able to see most of his family before he passed away. He was born May 28, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Archie Graham and Billie Mills Young.
Darren moved with his family to California in 1964 where he was educated and graduated from Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, California. He then studied at the Utah Technical College in Provo, Utah. Darren married Anita Christensen on December 14, 1985 and they were blessed with three children: Chaz, Zach, and Devin. He worked as a truck driver for many years. Darren always had a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. Friends and family members were his most valued treasures. He is dearly loved and will be missed every day.
Darren is survived by his wife: Anita Christensen Young; sons: Zachery and Devin; three grandchildren: Jadeth, Kael and Alorah; dog: Ziggy; mother: Billie Mills Young; sisters: Tonya (Ron) Bixler and Alexis Young; brothers: Sheldon (Sheri) Young, and Greg (Vikki) Young; many nieces and nephews. All loved to spend time with him on the farm. He was preceded in death by son: Chaz; father: Archie Young; grandparents.
Funeral services were held at the Delta Stake Center on Tuesday January 6, 2015. Viewings were held on Monday evening, January 5, 2015 at the Nickle Mortuary and prior to the services at the church on Tuesday. Bishop Shane Rowley conducted the service with compassionate services provided by the Delta Sixth Ward Relief Society. Interment was at the Delta Cemetery.
