Matt Ken Bishop, age 38, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 in Sutherland, Utah. He was born July 31, 1974 in Delta, Utah to Ken Grant and Venice Ruth Moody Bishop. He married Lori Ann Jones on May 16, 1997 in the Manti LDS Temple.
Matt graduated from Delta High School. He served as a missionary in the Chicago, Illinois Mission from 1993-1995. After, earned a degree in Diesel Mechanics Technology from UVSC. There he received three VICA Awards for his skill with Diesel Equipment - 1st, 2nd, and 1st Place. He moved back to Delta in 1998 to farm with his dad. Later he and his wife Lori opened Kids Kampus Child Care in 2004. He served as Scout Den Leader to spend time with his son. His favorite callings in the LDS church were being a missionary, and serving in the nursery with his daughter.
Matt is survived by his wife: Lori, Delta; parents: Ken and Venice, Delta; children: Ty, Shay, AJ, Delta; sisters: Karen (Leonard) Bogdanowicz, Fallon, NV; Vicki (Cary) Brunson, Ely, NV; Connie (Bill) Shank, Round Mountain, NV; numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 21, at 11 am, at the Sutherland LDS Church. Viewings will be held Tuesday evening at the Nickle Mortuary, from 7 to 8:30 pm; and Wednesday morning at the church, 9-10:40 am. Burial will be in the Delta City Cemetery.
