Berniece Jones Teubner

July 7, 1922 — October 18, 2016

Berniece Jones Teubner, age 94, passed away the afternoon of October 18, 2016, in Delta, Utah. She was born on July 7, 1922, in Sutherland, Utah to Calvin Hall and Millie Dorthea Christensen Jones. Berniece was raised on the family farm and learned how to work hard during those years. She graduated from Delta High School, and in 1942, Berniece and her two sisters, Violet and LaRae, moved to Southern California where they worked as riveters in an airplane factory to support the war effort. When the war ended, she went to work as a switchboard operator for General Telephone, eventually working her way up to an Engineering Assistant, working as a Draftsman. She attended classes at night to help perfect her craft.

Berniece married James E. “Red” Teubner, Jr. in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 4, 1950. He died in October of 1968. She said she never did find anyone she liked as much as Red, so she lived the rest of her life as a widow. She loved to travel and saw many beautiful places around the world. She was a beautiful lady and never left the house without being totally put together. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Berniece is survived by her younger brothers: Robert C. Jones of Delta, Utah; Blain C. Jones of Layton, Utah; Ladd (Joyce) Jones of Richardson, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband: James “Red” Teubner; parents; and siblings: Theta (died as an infant), Violet, Don, and LaRae.

No funeral services will be held. She will be buried next to her husband in the Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, California.
