Gayle Church Hathaway, age 78, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016, in Provo, Utah. She was born on May 22, 1938, in Delta, Utah to George David & Alice Lorraine Cahoon Church. She married Hoyt Parnel “Chuck” Hathaway, Jr. On October 9, 1953 in Grantsville, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple for time and eternity.
Gayle was a wonderful mother to her 7 kids. Her family brought her the greatest joy. She was an excellent cook and loved to sew, crochet, and work with ceramics. She was very dedicated to her family, whether staying up all night making doll clothes to surprise her children or other treats for her grandchildren; her home was always a place for the neighborhood friends to gather and play.
Gayle is survived by her children: Delynn (Lorraine) Hathaway, Hinckley; Patty (Lynn) Ashby, Delta; Wendy Stanworth, Delta; Douglas (Kim) Hathaway, Delta; Darryl (Trea) Hathaway, Running Springs, CA; Richard Hathaway, Hinckley. She was preceded in death by son: Dennis Wayne Hathaway; granddaughter: Kristy Hathaway; great-grandson: Chase Clark; 3 brothers, 1 sister; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, at 12:00 Noon, at the Delta City Cemetery.
