Ruth Stewart Rappleye

March 16, 1923 — December 25, 2016

Ruth Stewart Rappleye, age 93, passed away on December 25, 2016 in Fort Mohave, Arizona. She was born on March 16, 1923 in Meadow, Utah to Neil Murdock and Alice Ada Stott Stewart. She grew up in Meadow, and graduated from Millard High School. She married Melvin Jesse Rappleye on October 12, 1941, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She lived in Las Vegas for more than 50 years before moving to Mohave Valley, Arizona in November of 2009. She enjoyed great friends, traveling the world with Mel and her daughter, Lesleye, golfing, vacations with her grandchildren, being active in many organizations and spending hours in her garden. Ruth was a fashionista before it was cool. She worked at Joseph Magnum where she was on the pulse of exciting trends in the 70's. She found great joy in decorating her home, every day and especially for holidays. She had a great love of music and dancing. She was an avid reader, loved to tell stories, share her family heritage and enjoyed talking with the missionaries when they came to visit.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband: Mel; daughter: Lesleye; and son: Edwin. She is survived by her son: Mel (Harriet); daughter-in-law: Patricia; grandchildren: Jennifer (Dennis), Susan (Terry), Ed (Darcy), Heather (Tim), Shawn (Amanda), Jess (Jennifer), Wyatt. In addition she had eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She blessed us with her long life.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at the Meadow Cemetery.
