Carole Beth Leclair Leatham

February 12, 1948 — January 11, 2017

Carole Beth LeClair Leatham, age 68, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in Oasis, Utah. She was born on February 12, 1948 in Marquette, Michigan to Ralph and Marjorie Sleeman LeClair. She grew up in Ishpeming, Michigan with 5 brothers and a sister. Shortley after her 26th birthday, she joined the US Navy, serving as an Aviation Electrician’s Mate Petty Officer during the Vietnam War. After her honorable discharge in 1979, she moved to Idaho. While there, a friend introduced her to Byron Fred Leatham. They were married on July 20, 1986 in Ashton, Idaho. She and Byron loved to travel, and saw the country from north to south, coast to coast. She earned a beautician certificate, worked in real estate and had many other jobs. They finally settled down in Oasis, Utah in 2000. Carole worked for Delta City planting the flowers in the park and beautifying the grounds. It was the job she most enjoyed. Carole and Byron loved riding together on their motorcycle, seeing county and meeting new people. They would say, they spent 30 years on their Honeymoon.

Corole is survived by her husband: Byron Leatham; brothers: Steven, Gregory,  and Thomas Laitinen; sister: Mary Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers: Mark and Gary.

A memorial wake will be held at a later date.
