Warren Brent “Opey” Overson, age 66, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at his home in Lynndyl, Utah. He was born on February 12, 1951 in Payson, Utah, to Warren George and Margaret Jenna Rosquist Overson. He grew up in Kearns, Utah with his seven siblings where he enjoyed participating in many sports and activities. He attended Kearns High School, where he was on the Wrestling Team. After graduating, he joined the US Navy, and served during the Vietnam War. He moved to Lynndyl in the late 1980's, and worked as a sheet rocker and at the Delta Valley Farms Cheese Plant. He married Victoria “Vicki” Lynn Shank on December 21, 2002 in Delta. She died November 20, 2003.
Brent will always be remembered as a good friend and for his wild spirit. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Brent is survived by his brothers: Jim Andrews, John Andrews; sister: Linda Andrews Garber; twin brother: Kent Overson; sisters: Chris Overson Zaloznik, Mary Overson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife: Vicki; and brother: Merril Andrews.
A Memorial Service with military honors will be held on Saturday, May 6, at 3:00 PM at the Lynndyl Cemetery.
