Lawrence Edward Correia, age 67, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 in Provo, Utah. He was born on October 19, 1949 in Merced, California to Gloria Jesus (née Correia) Correia and Joseph Martin Correia. He grew up on a dairy farm in Elnido, California with an older brother and younger sister. He graduated from Merced High School. While there he developed a lifelong passion for working on and driving cars, and later took some college automotive courses. He married Jacqueline “Jackie” Best on October 17, 1970 in Atwater, California. They raised their family (two sons and a daughter) and continued to run the family dairy farm in Elnido. In 1992, he moved his family to the Delta area, and helped out at many of the local dairies. He loved raising his calves and goats, and working in his large and productive vegetable garden.
He is survived by his wife: Jackie; children: Larry (Bridget) Correia, Janine (Andy) McGee, and Jack (Christie) Correia; 8 grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 30, at 11:00 am at the Nickle Mortuary Chapel, 190 South Center St, Delta.
