Sherman Dale Little

April 17, 1929 — October 5, 2017

Sherman Dale Little, age 88, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 in Greeley, Colorado. He was born in Delta, Utah on April 17, 1929 to Sherman and Irene Lewis Little. Dale graduated from Delta High School and worked as a beekeeper before joining the US Army serving during the Korean War. During his time in the service, he married his high school sweetheart, Ila Talbot, on September 12, 1950 in the Manti LDS Temple. They moved to Texas and San Francisco. After release from the service, they ended up in Delta, Colorado where Dale worked for Hellman Motor Co. for 30 years. They had three children: Douglas Dale, Kathi Denise and Charles Scott. The family loved to camp and boat, many fun times were had at Lake Powell. Dale served in many organizations including Delta Jaycees, Deltarado Days Committee, Elks, and Boy Scouts. After retiring, Dale and Ila spent many winters traveling south in their motorhome. They loved traveling and meeting new people every place they went. They enjoyed many wonderful times until her passing on January 7, 2001.

Dale is survived by son: Charles Scott Little, Deltona FL; daugher: Kathi Hanson, Evans, CO; grandchildren: Amy (Dean) Giles, Cori (Angie) Hanson, Gary (Amy) Hanson, Lindsay (Timothy) Karakusis and Meriyah Martinez; and 7 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife: Ila; son: Douglas Dale; parents: Sherman and Irene Little; brothers: Dee Smith, and Carl Taylor; and sister: Lavone Morrison.

A Graveside Service with military rites will be held on Tuesday, October 17, at 11:00 AM, at the Delta City Cemetery, 370 East 750 North. Viewing will be held, 9:30-10:40 AM, at the Nickle Mortuary, 190 S Center St, before traveling to the cemetery.
