Delta, UT - Luana Anderson Evans, age 74, of Delta, Utah passed away January 14, 2013 in Delta. Luana was born March 24, 1938 in Sutherland to Rulon David and Maurine Hyer Anderson. Luana was a special child. She overcame many obstacles. She attended her early school years in Sutherland, Utah and graduated from Delta High School. She attended the College of Southern Utah and BYU. She met Burl Evans and they were married on June 5, 1964. They later divorced.
Luana worked as a housekeeper for the old Delta Hospital. She took art lessons and learned how to paint and has left her legacy of paintings at the Millard Care and Rehab Center.
Luana is survived by one son: Wayne A. Evans (Julie), West Jordan, UT; five grandchildren; a sister: LaRue A. Rigby, Las Vegas, NV; and a brother: David H. Anderson (Edith) Delta, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents: Rulon and Maurine; twin brothers; and a sister: Joyce.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11 AM, at the Delta 4th Ward Church, 197 South 300 West. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:40 AM prior to the service. Burial will be in the Delta City Cemetery.
