Leslie Wayne Cole

February 29, 1936 — January 28, 2019

Leslie Wayne Cole graduated from this life on Monday, January 28, 2019 at age 82. He was a leap year baby born February 29, 1936, the middle child of the three children of Leslie Lawrence Cole and Alene Pace Cole. He had an inquiring mind with a great desire to keep learning through out his life. He was an avid reader and especially loved studying L.D.S. church history. He was interested in, but not limited to: sailing, motorcycle riding, skiing, fishing and anything to do with the outdoors. A lover of sushi, singing and music. He enjoyed people and joking around with them.

His professional career was in power tool sales. He excelled in this area with his knowledge and hands on experience which won him many accolades and travel to foreign countries including 3 trips to Japan. He loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and devoted much of his life in service to others. He held many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints including multiple times as Scoutmaster, early morning seminary teacher, and counselor in the Bishopric. He served several missions with the Family History department and also a mission that was particularly dear to him in Nauvoo, Illinois.

He married Amelia Jane Cahoon for eternity on July 20, 1956 in the Manti LDS Temple and they have been married 62 years. They have 4 children together: Lori (Steve) Cole Schroeder, Richard Wayne Cole (deceased), Mark (Venora) Cole, and Brad Cole who all survive him along with 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He also had 2 wonderful sisters: Shirley Cole and Natalie Cole Edgar (Jim) who he loved dearly along with their families.

We would like to extend our thanks to the great neighbors and friends of the Bountiful 14th ward who have helped him and his wife so much in the last few years. His family finds peace envisioning him in the great wood working shop in Heaven enjoying his projects.
