Loree Kay Sampson Pace

June 1, 1955 — February 2, 2020

Loree Kay Sampson Pace age 64, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 2, 2020 after a courageous and valiant fight with stupid cancer for the second time. Loree was an amazing mother, wife, grandma, sister and friend. Loree was born June 1, 1955 and adopted by James & Lucile Black Sampson in Salt Lake City Utah. She grew up in Deseret, Utah and was adored by her parents and her big sister Sheila.

Loree loved dancing and pursued her passion in high school where she made the Delta High Tri-Dels and the Cheerleading team. She was very outgoing and social which helped her in making many life long friendships. After graduating in 1973 she continued her education at Dixie State College. Loree later lived across the street from the phone company in Delta where Ron worked and he admired from afar. The rest is history. They later married and Loree became a bonus mom to two boys, and together they raised four more children. Jenna being her favorite. They would have been married for 38 years on February 14th.

Loree enjoyed her years working at Quality Market, the phone company, Delta Sports Center, Christensen’s and Lake Philgas, where she made lifelong friendships. Loree was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in the Young Women, Relief Society and enjoyed ministering to her friends, but her greatest calling was her family. She loved nothing more than supporting her grandkids in all their activities, although shopping was a very close second.

Loree is survived by her husband: Ronald Doyle Pace; 4 children: Sharla (Corby) Mace, Mike Pace, Adam Pace and Jenna (Gene) Zufelt; stepsons: Mike (Bobi) Pace and Chris Pace; grandchildren: Jeric Greathouse, McCall Greathouse, Scottee Mace, McKenna Pace, Jalen Pace, Bailey Pace, Ashlin Pace, Camrynn Zufelt, Brendan Pace and Taytum Zufelt; sister: Sheila (Terry) Zorn. Her family meant the world to her and she meant the world to her family.

She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Her bright smile and the sparkle in her eyes will be immensely missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 7, at 11:00 am, at the Delta 4th Ward LDS Chapel, 197 South 300 West.
