Dorothy Rae Brumley Judd, age 85 of Murray, Utah, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 in Fernley, Nevada. She was born on April 7, 1935 to Nelson and Irene Erickson Brumley. Dorothy was the oldest of three children. She was born and raised in Sutherland, Utah. She graduated from Delta High School in 1953, then moved to Cedar City where she attended and graduated from what is now Southern Utah University. After college she married Hugh J. Judd, which took her to Ely, Las Vegas and Sparks, Nevada where their three children were raised. Dorothy and Hugh later divorced and she and her children moved to Murray, Utah.
Dorothy worked hard to provide for her children. She was a sales associate for Sears in Fashion Place Mall for over 40 years and took so much pride in being an associate that people would ask for her by name on their return visits. She gained many friends while working there and was loved by all who had the pleasure of working with her during her career.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Liz (Don) Bailie, Scott Judd, Anita (Conway) Spencer; grandchildren: Christina (David), Amie (Kelly), Bobby, Amber, Donny (Rachel), Billy (Caia), Shauni (Shilo), Trey; great-grandchildren: Kendra, Keegan, Garrett, Kelly, Jake, Danny, Sera, Thayne, Rylie, Amaiah, Kayden, Mason, Ava, Luke, Scarlett, Logan, Hudson; sister: Pat Carling; nieces: Karen, Kathy; and nephews: Craig, Kevin, Steven, Scott.
When you hear the phrase “Bless Your Heart” think of Dorothy .
Everyone is invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, March 6, at 12:00 noon, at the Nickle Mortuary, 190 South Center St, Delta. A Viewing will be held , 11:00-11:45 am, prior to the service. Masks are required for attendance at the service.
