Narcy Lynn Hall Olson

November 30, 1949 — May 10, 2021

Narcy Lynn Hall Olson, age 71, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 surrounded by loving family at home in Oasis, Utah. She was born on November 30, 1949 in Pacoima, California, the eldest child with 7 younger brothers to George Clifton and Narcisse Hall. She grew up in the San Fernando Valley above Los Angeles enjoying riding horses, art and surfing. She graduated from San Fernando High School and while there earned her certificate in cosmetology. She immediately was able to excel in her professional career. She worked as an assistant to Vidal Sassoon, as well as many other of the Los Angeles area’s elite salons. She was hired as a makeup and hair model. She participated in many cosmetology competitions (designing and sculpting fantasy hair styles and makeup) and she won many awards. She would fondly recall her experiences as a young woman in the hippy scene and her efforts to end US involvement in the Vietnam War. She was a very hard worker in both her job, and as a single mother. While living in Malibu she styled the hair of many famous musicians and actors. Her children recalled being awed when they were old enough to realize the fame of the people that would just pop in and out of their home when they were little.

She eventually moved to Idyllwild, California. She had a neighbor there who was a guitarist in a heavy metal band. She kept his hair rockin’ and he took care of her home while she was away and helped out wherever he could. Their relationship blossomed, and she married the love of her life, Kendall Wilburn Olson, on April 6, 1987 in Idyllwild.

Narcy suffered a tragic accident when she fell through and glass window, severing many of the tendons in her wrist. The injury made styling hair very difficult. She also wished to get back to the romance of rural life. In 1992, they packed up there belongings and Kendall brought her back to his hometown of Oak City. Narcy loved growing healthy organic food and raising chickens. She enjoyed drawing and sculpting many beautiful pieces of art. In 1994 they bought a home in Oasis and enjoyed being a part of the community.

Narcy loved art and music. She had a deep appreciation of native american culture and living a healthy lifestyle. Above all she was a wonderful mother. She will be deeply missed.

Narcy is survived by her husband: Kendall, Oasis; daughters: Gessica Still, Delta; Tracy Adams, Hawaii; Alex Olson, Delta; 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson and 4 brothers.
