Elwin Jay Dutson (Grandpa Kiki) passed away on January 13, 2023, in Riverton, Utah at the age of 89 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Lynndyl, Utah, one of 10 children born to John Q and Eva Dutson. He spent his early years in Lynndyl where he enjoyed riding his horse, Copper, and working in the fields with his three-legged dog, Spot.
After high school, Elwin married his high school sweetheart, Lois Iverson, in Manti, Utah. Shortly after Lois and Elwin decided to start a family. They celebrated their 70th anniversary this past year.
Elwin was a faithful member of the LDS Church and enjoyed his neighbors, providing much humor and caring to everyone he met.
Elwin and Lois enjoyed their yearly snowbird travel to Yuma, Arizona with dear friends and made new friends each year.
Elwin is survived by his wife: Lois Dutson; his children: Rick Dutson, Debbie Cox (Earl), Kathy Hinckley (Robert), Tracy Dutson; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; 9 siblings; and his granddaughter: Cassie Jo Teasdale.
A Viewing was held Wednesday, January 18, 12:30-1:40 pm, at the Nickle Mortuary, 190 South Center St, Delta; and Funeral Services followed at 2:00 pm at the Nickle Mortuary Chapel. Friends unable to attend are invited to view the recorded video of the service .
