James Terry Cason, age 62, passed away peacefully in his home in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 28, 2024, following an extended illness. He was born November 27, 1961, in Morganton, North Carolina.
James was raised in Morrill, Nebraska, and attended the Heritage Christian Academy at the Independent Baptist Church in Morrill. He graduated in May 1981. He briefly attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina in the fall of 1981.
James married Karen Bennett in 1982. He joined the US Army in 1984. Following his military service, he had various jobs in Indiana, the last becoming a long haul truck driver. After retiring, James moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, which has been his home until his passing.
James is survived by his sons: Dan, Cyle, and Chris; sister: Kim VanPelt; parents: Dennis and Gayle Cason; and 7 grandchildren.
James will be laid to rest in the Greenmount Cemetery in Durango, Colorado on Monday, May 6, 2024.
