Joseph Thompson, age 88, passed away Monday, September 30, 2013 at his home in Hinckley, Utah. He was born May 14, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri to Frank and Florence Williamson Thompson. He married Patricia Ann Fischer On September 21, 1985 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
In 1996, Joseph moved to the Delta area and worked as a contractor painting houses. Joseph served in the Navy, Army Air Corps, and the Seebees. He flew as a tailgunner in WWII. Joseph joined the LDS church on November 17, 2012.
Joseph is survived by his wife: Patricia; sons: Joseph (Debbie); Thomas (Bonnie); stepsons: Jan (Anita) Nicolet; Mike (Angela) Nicolet; and Shane (Kat) Nicolet. He has 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Margie; 2 granddaughters, 1 grandson, and 1 great-grandson.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Nickle Mortuary. Friends may call Saturday at 1:00 pm prior to service. Burial will occur at a later date at the Antioch Cemetery in Sams Valley, Oregon.
