David Gordon Church

February 16, 1940 — December 1, 2013

David Gordon Church, age 73,  passed away December 1, 2013 in Provo, Utah. He was born February 16, 1940 in Delta, to Ned Milne and Mildred Christensen Church. David grew up on a farm with his Dad and Mom, 3 brothers: Sterling, Steve and McKay and 4 sisters: Florence, Leah, Kathline and Marsha. David went to Delta High School where he met his wife Nancy Nelson. They married September 4, 1959 in the Manti LDS Temple. They stayed in Delta where he worked for Millard County School District as a teacher, Elementary Principal, Middle School Principal, Vocational School Director and in the District Office for 41 years. He raised three boys: Gordon, Kevin, and Craig; that he loved very much. He retired and later moved to St. George, but Delta was always in his heart. He will be missed by all that knew him.

He is now with his son, Gordon, who went before him 25 years ago. Survived by his family that loves and will miss him are wife: Nancy; sons: Kevin (Karla) Church; Craig (Valerie) Church; his grandchildren who meant everything to him: Mackenzie, Samantha, Parker, Kason (Katie), Kyler; great-grandkids who loved Great Grandpa: Maci, Max and Avery.

We love you and are so thankful to have had you in our lives. Thank you so much and watch over us until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 5, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at the Delta 4th Ward LDS Chapel. Viewing will be held at the church, 9:30-10:40 AM, prior to the service. Burial will be in the Delta Cemetery.
